(vasep.com.vn) National Agricultural Extension Center cooperated with Agricultural Extension Center of Kien Giang province to organise a training course on shrimp farming in compliance with VietGAP standards.
The Centers guided techniques for farmers coming from different districts in the province. Through the course, farmers can understand more about standards on ensuring food hygiene and safety in fish production to produce safe raw materials for processing industry. At the course, shrimp farmers are introduced farming models which not using antibiotics, limit disease risks, reduce ecological pollution and traceability.
Aquaculture is considered as a key economic sector of Vietnam. Fish production has increased year by year and seafood exports of Vietnam has made a great growth. Producing free disease and safe seafood products will help Vietnam fishery overcome technical barriers set by importing countries.
