Jan-Apr 2017: Vietnam cephalopod sales to US hit US$1.6 million
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam currently stayed as the 13th largest supplier of cephalopod to the U.S. In the first four months of 2017, Vietnam's cephalopod exports to the market hit US$1.6 million, up 0.5%, but the export volume touched 174 MT, down 22 % year on year.
Vietnam’s cephalopod had to compete strongly with the same item from China, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. The average price of Vietnam’s cephalopod quoted at US$7.99/kg.
