12/7/2012 -- Greece rejected and re-dispatched frozen Alaska pollock from China due to parasitic infestation with Anisakis.
12/6/2012 -- British border authorities found salmonella in flours, meals and pellets of fish or of crustaceans from Ecuador. The batch was rejected and chemically treated.
12/5/2012 -- During official market controls, Romanian officials detected Anisakis parasites in frozen mackerel from Spain. The batch was withdrawn from the market.
12/5/2012 -- Danish authorities found dioxins in chilled cod liver coming from a domestic supplier during an official market control. The product was destroyed.
11/30/2012 -- Mercury was found by Italian controls on the market in frozen swordfish and sliced frozen swordfish from Spain. The slices were destroyed, while the swordfish was re-dispatched.
11/28/2012 -- Authorities withdrew chilled Atlantic mackerel coming from Spain from the Italian market due to parasitic infestation with Anisakis. The product could have been shipped to other member countries.
11/26/2012 -- Spanish border controls detected the unauthorized use of the color E 160b in surimi sticks from India. The product was re-dispatched.
