Under the Decree, individuals and organizations involved in fishing in Viet Nam’s sea waters are required to comply with related laws, regulations issued by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), and rules of the provincial people committees on the list of species being prohibited from fishing; fishing methods, fishing gear not allowed in specific grounds; fishing grounds banned for fishing, and not allowed for fishing in specific period of time; species and minimum sizes allowed for fishing, etc.
