(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Since the beginning of the year until now, the price of fuel and the fishing ground has stabilized while the fishery resources have been abundant, so most of the offshore fishing vessels have operated effectively.

The fishing production in the first 3 months of 2020 of the province is estimated at 7,287.5 MT (reaching 130% over the same period in 2019 and reaching 27% of the plan).

In addition to favorable weather, the output of fishing was high also thanks to the attention and timely direction of the province in the management, exploitation and protection of aquatic resources.

A notable feature of 2025 was the strong market concentration in the United States, which accounted for more than 81% of Vietnam’s total crab export value, up 10% from the previous year. In contrast, exports to several Asian markets declined significantly, resulting in only modest overall growth for the year.
