In 2021, Bac Lieu province exported 73,790 tons of aquatic products

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In 2021, Bac Lieu's seafood exports will reach 73,790 tons and a turnover of more than 776 million USD. In which, frozen shrimp brought in over 755 million USD.

Compared with the plan, export turnover only reached 87.6% and equal to 98.86% over the same period. However, in a year full of difficulties, this is a remarkable result and shows great efforts and dynamism of seafood enterprises. In 2021, Bac Lieu ranks 7th in the country in terms of seafood export turnover.

Bac Lieu province strives to achieve 920 million USD in export turnover in 2022 (of which, shrimp exports will reach over 893 million USD). To accomplish this goal, Bac Lieu will support enterprises to develop plans to maintain production and business, especially export processing enterprises, to prepare conditions to restore production in  new normal context.

In particular, the province will pay attention to supporting production development to create a stable source of goods, ensure quality, and meet enough raw materials for export processing; Create favorable conditions for Viet Uc - Bac Lieu Joint Stock Company to soon complete and put into operation the project of a seafood processing factory in June 2022.

In 2021, Bac Lieu province has 47 seafood export companies. Leading the province is Ngoc Tri Food Processing Joint Stock Company, which specializes in shrimp exports with a turnover of about 60 million USD in the past year. Next is the Southern Shrimp Joint Stock Company with a turnover of nearly 55 million USD.

In addition, the top 5 seafood enterprises in Bac Lieu include Ngoc Trinh Bac Lieu Seafood Co., Ltd with sales of over 54 million USD, Seaprodex Minh Hai with 45 million USD and Trang Khanh Seafood Co.Ltd with over 40 million USD. These are all companies specializing in shrimp exports.
