Sao Ta Food Joint Stock Company (FIMEX VN) announced the preliminary results of the first 6 months of 2021 (including Sao Ta Company and a member of Khang An Food Joint Stock Company) with overall sales of more than 99 million USD, an increase of 29 % over the same period in 2020.
In which, the output of frozen shrimp products reached 9,788 tons, up 28% over the same period in 2020. Shrimp consumption reached 8,883 tons, up 28%. Regarding the situation of shrimp farming, Sao Ta said that farmed shrimp are in the harvesting stage and will complete the work in the second half of July. After that, the company will stock shrimp in season II.
According to Sao Ta, the company's shrimp business grew at 29%, higher than the industry's average rate (about 15%). Sao Ta self-assessed "shrimp farming is also the best achievement of the company at this stage".
According to the 2021 plan, Sao Ta expects the output of processed shrimp to be 21,000 tons, an increase of about 5% compared to 2020. Shrimp sale is expected at 18,500 tons, up 5%. The sale of processed agricultural products will be 1,800 tons, unchanged from last year.

Having identified its weakness in 2023, entering the first quarter of 2024, Vietnam's shrimp industry has undergone a clear change, reflected through increases in exports to major markets.
It is necessary to develop more detailed and consistent regulations on seafood production for export in line with the implementation of solutions towards sustainable and responsible fishing practices.

According to statistics from Vietnam Customs, this South American country imported nearly 3 million USD of tuna products from Vietnam in the first 2 months of 2024, an increase of 58% over the same period in 2023.

Vietnam's tuna exports value to Poland increased by 786% in comparison to the same period last year, totaling over $2 million USD and contributing about 2% of the country's overall tuna exports revenue.
