(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In August 2025, aquaculture and fishing activities across Đak Lak province experienced favorable conditions with production increasing by 3.39% compared to the same period last year.

The province’s total fisheries production in August 2025 is estimated at 10,022 tons, a 3.39% increase compared to the same period last year. Cumulatively, in the first eight months of 2025, aquatic production reached 85,829 tons, up 3.45% compared to the same period last year.
Of which, the aquaculture output in August 2025 was estimated at 4,014 tons, a 2% increase compared to the same period last year, including: various fish species at 2,330 tons (up 0.39%); shrimp at 1,607 tons (up 4.32%) and other aquatic products at 77 tons (up 4.12%). For the first eight months of 2025, the cumulative aquaculture production was estimated at 25,141 tons, a 2.62% increase compared to the same period last year. The increase in aquaculture production mainly came from oyster and spotted babylon snail farming, as these species have high potential and bring significant economic benefits.
The marine fisheries catch in August 2025 was estimated at 5,764 tons, a 4.51% increase year-on-year, including: various fish species at 5,470 tons, up 4.51% (of which, oceanic tuna accounts for 260 tons, up 4.84%, making up 4.75% of the total marine fish catch); shrimp at 43 tons, up 4.88% and other aquatic products at 251 tons, up 4.58%. For the first eight months of 2025, the cumulative marine fisheries catch reached 58,584 tons, an increase of 3.89% year-on-year.
The inland fisheries catch in August 2025 was estimated at 244 tons, a 0.47% increase compared to the same period last year. For the first eight months of 2025, the cumulative inland fisheries catch was estimated at 2,103 tons, a 1.34% increase compared to the same period last year.
