According to statistics, in July 2022, the group of exported aquatic products’s value was estimated at 26.6 million USD, up 3.85% over the previous month and 49.54% over the same period in 2021. Accumulated for the first 7 months of 2022 , the group of aquatic products reached 151.22 million USD, up 61.2% over the same period. Some main export products are vannamei shrimp exported to the US, Japan, Germany, and the UK; frozen fresh squid exported to Japan, Taiwan, USA; and other seafood products exported to Japan, Colombia, USA, Denmark, etc.
To achieve this result, seafood processors and exporters in the province have tried to maintain stability in traditional markets, some markets have increased orders over the same period. In addition, the output and value of local seafood export turnover increased again, not only helping businesses to overcome difficulties but also greatly add to the province's budget revenue in 2022.

The whole province currently has about 370 purchasing establishments, preliminarily processing and processing fresh and frozen seafood and about 200 establishments producing and trading fish sauce. Most establishments and enterprises invest in mechanization and modernization of production equipment, promoting the production of high value-added products such as canned goods, sushi, sashimi, surimi - fish cakes,and diversification of dry products.
Most seafood processors and exporter enterprises are certified to meet food safety conditions, and apply quality management programs such as HACCP, BRC, Halal standards, etc.
In addition, the management of food hygiene and safety and the promotion of seafood consumption and export are focused. At the same time, the province attempts to build and connect the safe aquatic food supply chain; issues certificates of safe aquatic food supply chain products, and support facilities to apply advanced quality management programs, support product traceability stamps for seafood processing and preliminary processing enterprises.
In order to achieve the set goals and maintain the export market, Binh Thuan province will continue to strengthen the protection of aquatic resources, in association with the implementation of Directive No. 45 dated December 13, 2017 of the Prime Minister; the Directive No. 30 issued by the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee on urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the warning of the European Commission on combating IUU fishing.

At the same time, the province also seriously takes action to combat IUU fishing, preventing, repelling and minimizing to a minimum the situation of flying locusts operating in the wrong direction in the waters of the province. Organize the management and promotion of the ports and fishing wharfs that have been invested, attracting ships inside and outside the province to gather and consume products.
In aquaculture, the province will strengthen the development of aquaculture with high economic value, focusing on applying advanced technology in aquaculture in association with environmental protection. Binh Thuan also promotes the development of seafood processing in a variety of sizes and products, creates conditions for seafood processors to improve product value, and restructures frozen processed products in the direction of increasing the proportion of value-added products. Continuing to promote the management of quality, safety and hygiene of aquatic products. Finally, expand the application of the food safety and hygiene management system on all stages from input materials to finished products.
