(vasep.com.vn) In November 2015, shrimp farming area in Bac Lieu was 1,073 hectares, including 633 hectares of black tiger shrimp and 440 hectares of whiteleg shrimp.
For the first 11 months of the year, shrimp farming area in the province reached 19,940 hectares, consisting of 14,025 hectares for black tiger shrimp and 5,915 hectares of whiteleg shrimp. Shrimp rearing area increased 1.56% comparing to last year result.
In November only, harvested area was 1,756 hectares, including 1,268 hectares of tiger shrimp and the other 488 hectares for vannamei.
From January to November, harvested area was 9,129 hectares, up 7.72%. This included 6,044 hectares for black tiger shrimp and 3,085 hectares for whiteleg shrimp.
