This measure was highlighted by Phan Anh Vu – Vice Chairman of Vinh Long People's Committee at the meeting of the provincial fishery sector on February 27th, 2014.
So far, Vinh Long has had 79 pangasius hatcheries and 239 pangasius producers. The pangasius production has been generally facing many difficulties, so more and more farmers had to leave their ponds or keep fish in ponds with reduced feed meals to wait for a higher selling price.
In this situation, Vinh Long is required to apply technologies in fish farming to meet technical requirements as well as tighten links in the whole production chain towards a more efficient development.
