Vinh Long: More pangasius farms are certified
(vasep.com.vn) Up to now, all pangasius ponds in the province have been clarified to farm the fish for trading; 132 ponds with the areas of 295.5ha are granted identification number, accounting for 68.7% of the total area of the province.
In 2014, 9 commercial pangasius farms (69ha) received GlobalGAP and ASC, 2 hatcheries were certified by GlobalGAP (6.3ha), 3 farms (8.4 ha) got VietGAP and 1 was granted BMP certification.
The province is reviewing the detailed planning towards a stable pangasius production under the Decree 36/2014 / ND-CP on the management on pangasius production, trading and consumption.
In 2015, Vinh Long plans to focus on pangasius seeds quality under national standards, boosting more certified fish farms and promoting the fish products to the globe.
