Mr. Truong Dinh Hoe General Secretary
Mr. Truong Dinh Hoe said: “DOC has been very objective and fair when selecting Bangladesh as the country instead”. Mr. Hoe also said that with this decision, Vietnam’s pangasius export companies to the U.S. are subject to nearly zero percent tax rates that are lower than those in the preliminary results in September 2010. Currently, the U.S. accounts for about 10 percent of total exported pangasius volume of Vietnam.
Based on the review of records and evidences provided by Vietnam, the DOC decided to choose Bangladesh as the country instead to calculate the dumping margin of Vietnamese pangasius in this final decision. So, Vietnamese exporters have lower tax rates than those in the preliminary results on 15th September, 2010.
