Truong Thi Le Khanh – One of Vietnam’s most successful businesswomen in 2013
(pangasius-vietnam.com) In June 2013, at its first issues in Vietnamese, Vietnam Forbes announced the list of ten most successful businesswomen in Vietnam in 2013. Truong Thi Le Khanh, General Director of Vinh Hoan Corporation – one of the leading companies in seafood sector, was also honourably named in the list.
The top ten businesswomen were selected based on the decisive role that they play in their enterprises, the number of years in which they have taken the leader position and their contribution to the enterprise development.
Under the leadership of Truong Thi Le Khanh, Vinh Hoan Corp reached remarkable progresses. From a small processing facility established in 1997, it has become the largest pangasius processor and exporter in Vietnam with a closed production chain from pond to table.
Vinh Hoan Corp continued to expand its business by carrying out a project of rice export in 2012 and other project of producing collagen from pangasius byproducts to export in 2013.
In 2012, Vinh Hoan Corp’s turnover reached US$174 million, increasing three folds within the recent five years. Its profits also got a 4-fold increase compared to those recorded after its first share issuance.
