Travifaco boosting sales in domestic market
(vasep.com.vn) In the first eight months of 2013, Tra Vinh Food-stuff and Agricultural Company (Travifaco) reported a higher domestic sales of pangasius paste, stomach and swimming-bladder. These products are mostly provided to restaurant and supermarket chains in Tra Vinh province.
Through August 2013, Travifaco genetated US$6 million from exports of frozen pangasius fillets, steaks and other pangasius products to the EU, Asia, Middle East and other markets.
The company said that it reduced exports to Middle East market in a fear of late payments and long civil war in this region. Travifaco only sold products to some traditional partners there and increased exports to Asian markets.
