The project aims to apply SQF1000 to build a safe Pangasius farming model in an area of 18ha in Hoa Hung and Hoa Khanh communes, Cai Be district, which ensures a source of safe material for export processing, and meets requirements of importing markets, especially requirements on traceability of seafood origins. Furthermore, the project will minimize financial losses facing farmers and processors thanks to stricter control of farming regions.
Based on project implementation results, Viet Nam SGS Company has certified Hoa Hung Cooperative and My Thuan Farm under Hung Vuong Corp as meeting SQF1000. The certified farming area totaled 25.41ha. (VietFishNews)
