Tay Ninh sets target to increase pangasius production
(seafood.vasp.com.vn) As part of its 2025 agricultural, forestry, and fisheries development plan, Tay Ninh province has set a target of 174,800 tons in aquaculture and capture fisheries production, of which pangasius alone accounting for 126,000 tons. This highlights pangasius as the species driving the province's aquaculture development strategy.
To achieve the target, Tay Ninh province has proposed several measures, including promoting the application of science and technology in aquaculture, encouraging high-tech fisheries production and enhancing product quality and food safety. Meanwhile, the province will support farmers, cooperatives and businesses in accessing capital, adopting digital transformation, building brands and expanding consumption markets. Furthermore, disease prevention and control in aquaculture will be prioritized to ensure safe and stable production.
