In the first 8 months of 2011, despite lack of material, soaring input cost and interest rates, South Vina strove to keep stably the average export volume of more than 1,000 MT of pangasius per month.
In the period, South Vina exported almost 11 thousand MT of pangasius, worth US$30.3 million, mainly to the key markets (the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Syprus).
In the late 2011, pangasius demand and raw material price are on upward trend. However, in September 2011, pangasius export volume of the company is expected to decrease compared to that of the previous month due to unstable supply of material. As planned, in the same month, South Vina will export about 900 MT of finished products, worth US$2.4 million, mainly to the key markets.
