South Vina: Boosts exports to the U.S. and Brazil

 South Vina’s seafood exports to its such main markets as Mexico, Spain and Brazil did not stabilize until February.

In February it exported 208MT of Pangasius, valued at US$466,000 to Brazil, the largest destination.

According to its business report, in January-February period, the company exported 592MT of frozen Pangasius to the U.S., Brazil, Colombia, Canada, and Germany. The U.S. was the largest importer in this period with US$638,000, followed by Brazil US$466,000, Colombia US$338,000, and Canada 258,000.

Also in February 2010, South Vina pushed up exporting Pangasius to Cyprus, Czech Republic, Moldova, and the Philippines.

It expects its frozen Pangasius export volume in March will amount to 900MT, worth US$2.3 million.
