Tomboy was last year acquired by the aqua feed producer Skretting, itself part of the Dutch group Nutreco.
The new feed will be ready in April, Laurent Genet, Nutreco country manager for Vietnam, told a local report, published by Qualasa Expertise.
Genet estimates that the company will have produced around 10,000 metric tons of the feed by the end of the year.
The ASC does not outline specific standards for feed producers, but its criteria require farmers to use feed with specific features.
