On Monday 18th 2008, National Fisheries Quality Assurance and Veterinary Directorate (Nafiqaved) has a meeting with Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Services (VPSS) at the office of Nafiqaved. In the meeting, two parties have evaluated the results and achievements after the Cooperation Agreement signed by two parties in Nov 2007.
The content of inspecting in the first time of this year has been discussed and complemented in compliance to new functions and responsibilities of Nafiqaved.
After the meeting, a team including Russian inspectors and Nafiqaved staffs will visit 24 enterprises, which has been approved to export to Russia in 2007, to check sanitary conditions. 15 other enterprises which mainly produce & export pangasius and marine fish products, is planned to be visited in the tour.
It is expected that more Vietnamese enterprises would be added in the list of approved seafood exporters to by VPSS.
