Quang Ninh: Total seafood production estimated at 89,000 MT in 2012
The figure included 32,000 MT of aquaculture and 57,000 MT of capture, fulfilling respectively 100% and 111.3% of the year‘s target.
The total seafood processing value in the province was estimated to amount to US$19 million.
In 2012, the province’s Agriculture and Rural Development Department and Sub-Department of Aquatic Resources Exploitation and Protection jointly conducted 11 inspections of capture fisheries. Administrative penalties of VND224 million were imposed on 213 violations.
