Profit of MEKONGFISH CO in H1 exceeded 6% of the year plan
Mekong Fisheries Joint Stock Company (HoSE: AAM) announced that the revenue in the second quarter of this year reached VND 49.6 billion, down 4% over the same period in 2018. Profit before tax was estimated at VND 4.6 billion, up 3.2% over the same period. Profit after tax was VND 3.7 billion, down 5.3% over the same period in 2018. Low profit is mainly due to high cost of goods sold, accounting for 88% of company's revenue.
In the first quarter of 2019, the company's total revenue reached VND 54.12 billion, profit before tax was VND 3.86 billion. Thus, the revenue and accumulated pre-tax profit of AAM were VND 103.7 billion and VND 8.5 billion respectively.
In 2019, the company set sales target of VND220 billion, pre-tax profit of 8 billion dong, down 33% compared to the result of 2018. With the above plan, the company fulfilled 47% of revenue plan and 106.3% of profit plan.
