The company has a hatchery for safe pangasius fingerling production, feed mill and processing plant. Hoang Long Seafood’s integrated pangasius farm can satisfy 100 percent of the plant’s production capacity of 80 MT per day.
From the beginning of 2011 up to now, Hoang Long has shipped abroad more than 2,000 MT of fish fillets, generating a revenue of US$35 – 36 million per month. It is expected to reach VND2,000 billion of revenue in 2011.
After receiving GlobalGAP certificate, the company’s shipments increased steadily. In June 2011, it sent 60 – 70 containers of pangasius fillets abroad.
Mr. Luu Bach Thao, General Director of Viet An Seafood Joint Stock Company (Anvifish Co) in An Giang province, shared that Anvifish had two pangasius farms granted GlobalGAP certification with total area of 150 hectares. These farms meet GlobalGAP standards and requirements of environmental protection. In first six months of 2011, Anvifish has exported about 200 MT of pangasius and planned to generate over VND1,800 billion for the whole year.
