(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vinh Hoan Corp announced February revenue of 1,075 billion VND, increased by 137% compared to the same period last year and 30% compared to last month (including Sa Giang Co., Ltd).
Vinh Hoan Corp's pangasius product
In the product structure, pangasius revenue was recorded at 785 billion VND, up 160% over the same period last year; by-products increased by 29%, health care products increased by 18%, shrimp crackers increased by 87% augmented products decreased by 38%.
In terms of the consumption market, export sales to the US increased sharply by 221% to 627 billion VND, to China increased by 73%, and to Europe increased by 19%. Meanwhile, the domestic market (mostly through its subsidiary Sa Giang) reached 192 billion VND, increased by 147%.
Compared to last month, the US and China market increased by 89% and 170% respectively, while the Europe market decreased by 44% and the domestic market decreased by 5%.
Accumulated in the first 2 months, Vinh Hoan Corp's revenue reached 1,900 billion VND (including Sa Giang), up 73% over the same period last year.
Besides recovering demand in most markets, rising pangasius prices boosted Vinh Hoan's revenue. Pangasius export price has increased significantly in recent times. Pangasius exports this year are forecasted to increase by 20-25% compared to last year and export prices are expected to increase by about 5%.
According to a report of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), in the first two months, pangasius exports increased sharply to 384 million USD, up 93% over the same period last year.
