Mekong Delta produces successfully fish seed
(vasep.com.vn) The Mekong Delta provinces produce successfully many kinds of fish seed. Annually, the locality produced 12 billion of fish fries including monosex male tilapia, pangasius, eel, marble goby and 25 billion of shrimp seed.
Besides, the locality can produce seed of saltwater fish such as cobia, perch, grouper, snapper, marine crab, abalone.
Fish seed production will contribute to diversify farmed species for exporting in the region in coming years.
The Mekong Delta targets to gain VND7,500 billion per year from revenue of fish seed and save about US$100 million for importing fish seed every year.
