Khanh Hoa: Planning to catch 4 thousand MT of ocean tuna
(vasep.com.vn) Year to date, the capture production of ocean tuna of Khanh Hoa province reached 2 thousand MT, completing 50 percent of yearly plan.
Now, Khanh Hoa’s tuna longline fleet, including 104 vessels with total capacity of 15,200 CV is mainly located in Nha Trang city.
Due to hiking demand for tuna in the world markets this year, seafood processors and exporters in Khanh Hoa not only purchase domestic raw fish but also further import from outside to meet demand of raw fish for processing and exporting. This year, the province strives to reach ocean tuna catch production of 4 thousand MT.
