According to Deputy Director of Mekongfish Co., Mr. Tang Tuan Anh, the company exported 5,303MT of frozen Pangasius fillets, for a value of US$11.1 million in the first six months of 2009, a year-on-year increase of 21.38 percent in volume and 2.22 percent in value. Mekongfish can keep its export markets thanks to its tightened relationship with worldwide customers. Besides, its export value has been increasing after it was permitted to export to Russia since May 2009.
Due to company’s deeply concern over quality management in all stages, from farming to processing and preserving finished products, its product quality has been much improved and met customers’ increasing demand. Mekongfish can satisfy even difficult orders due to its abundant material sources of all sizes and colors and its strong financial status.However, so far the company has not been able to promote exports to the U.S. due to complicated happenings regarding anti-dumping case against Viet Nam Pangasius.
