Its income from financial activities decreased 50 percent to VND3.23 billion. Financial charges rose 169.7 percent to VND27.5 billion and selling expenses got a soar of 35.5 percent. These indicators explained the drop of 37.26 percent in post-tax profit in the third quarter.
However, in first three quarters of 2011, IDI Corporation totaled a net profit of VND78.4 billion, up 16.7 percent against the same period last year.
On 1st November 2011, IDI Corporation signed VND100 billion cooperation contract with Gentraco Corporation in Can Tho province to produce and trade raw pangasius in the 2011 – 2012 period.
The two companies expect to invest VND100 billion in farming pangasius for process and export. In 2012 harvest season, Gentraco plans to produce about 4,000 MT of pangasius from 10-hectare farm which applies GlobalGAP standards. Then IDI Corporation will buy fish at the price set by the two parties.
