ASC is a set of international standards established by WWF for labeling and certification of responsible aquaculture practices.
Though Hung Vuong Corp is applying GlobalGAP standards for its farms, it still expects to reach ASC certification. The company will prepare two new farms, which have not been granted any standards, in order to facilitate the launch of ASC standards in Vietnam by WWF, according to Mr. Duong Ngoc Minh.
Applying international standards helps Hung Vuong Corp satisfy quality requirements of global markets, particularly the EU and the U.S., two largest importers of Vietnam pangasius.
