On October 12, 2009, Hung Vuong Corp submitted application to list its 59,999,993 shares on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE).
Hung Vuong Corp’s chartered capital is VND599.999 billion, located in My Tho Industrial Zone, Tien Giang province. The company’s main business activities include producing frozen Pangasius for export, Pangasius farming, feed production, coldstorage and real estate business.
The Corp is now one of Viet Nam’s top Pangasius producers and exporters. According to the statistical data of Vietnam Customs, in the first nine months of 2009, the company shipped 47,247MT of Pangasius, worth US$91.056 million.
By the end of 2008, Hung Vuong Corp is the owner of seven frozen Pangasius processing plants with the combined capacity of 800MT of raw fish per day; co-owner of two feed mills (Hung Vuong Tay Nam with the capacity of 300MT per day; and Viet Thang, capacity of 900MT per day); running more than 250ha of aquaculture farms in the provinces of Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, and Tien Giang with a total investment of more than VND300 billion.
The company also has a 40,000MT-coldstorage in Tan Tao Industrial Zone, Ho Chi Minh City with a investment of more than VND350 billion.
