(vasep.com.vn) Hung Vuong Corporation (Hung Vuong Corp) claimed their investment of US$ 30 million to build a seafood processing plant and cold storage in Russia. The plant construction will start in 2015.
“We reached the agreement after a seafood trade exhibition in Russia. Trade exhibitions in Russia is a good opportunity for Vietnam seafood exporters to expand their markets to Russia and European countries”,said Mr. Duong Ngoc Minh, General Director of Hung Vuong Corp.
2014, Hung Vuong Joint Stock Company has exported fish products worth $ 200 million to Russia and European countries. This project was formed based on the signed documents on cooperation between HCM City industrial zone with Moscow, to address Vietnam's labor in Russia.
The plant will be built in the hope of improving quality of seafood products from Vietnam and taking advantage of seafood caught in Russia.
Since Russia banned food products from the US and Europe, seafood products from Vietnam have been sold in many provinces of Russia, while previously, they were put on the market in Moscow only.
