Hung Ca Co., Ltd said in April it exported 678 tons of pangasius, worth $1.57 million to European Union, Russia and some Asian countries. European Union is the largest market, accounting for 65% of its total export revenue.
The company’s new pangasius processing plant in Thanh Binh industrial zone was put into operation in mid of May with processing capacity of around 140 to 150 tons/day. However, it's expected to increase the capacity to meet the increasing demand from foreign customers.
The company plans to ship more seafood products to Europe, and to improve the quality of its pangasius products to meet international standard of sustainable seafood in the near future, said the deputy director Mr.Tran Van Hau.
