According to information from Cuu Long Fish Joint Stock Company (CL-Fish Corp), in the first months of 2008, the company has received many orders for pangasius from partners in Middle East.
The company monthly exports 60 containers of the product to international markets such as EU, Middle East...However, a representative from CL-Fish confirmed that demand of pangasius in the Middle East is higher at the moment.
By the end of 2007, CL-Fish invested in building a new pangasius processing plant, increasing the total procesing capacity of the company to 150 MT of raw material per day. The company also planned to extend its pangasius farming areas by 30 hectares in 2008. However, the plan was cancelled by some fluctuation in the beginning of this year.
