The aquaculture production totaled 71,524MT in 2009, of which 59,214MT came from semi-intensive farming, accounting for nearly 83 percent of total aquaculture output.
According to Hau Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the semi-intensive farming model proved effective, therefore, it is necessary to develop further this model to raise output, productivity, and improve local farmers’ income. (VietFishNews)
