Dong Thap to increase by 176 hectares of aquaculture area in 2012

Dong Thap has 19 seafood processors, operating with the designed capacity of 378,160 MT per year. With this capacity, output for 330,000 MT of raw pangasius in the province is ensured.

Dong Thap has 173 fish seed trading and producing facilities with the production of 1.1 billion of fingerlings. It is estimated that in 2011, the hatcheries supply 1.3 – 1.5 billion of pangasius seed and 25 billion of pangasius frying for hatcheries in the province and neighborhood.
