D.D.Co.,Ltd’s new seafood processing plant in Hue city has just started operation, focusing on Pangasius, whiteleg shrimp, and pelagic fish with an output of 120MT per month.
Director Tran Tu Liem said to overcome the material shortage as fewer fishers went fishing offshore due to bad weather conditions, beside Hue the company has to purchase raw materials from other provinces such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa.
Regarding farmed seafood, Mr. Liem said whiteleg shrimp is now cultured widely with high output in central region, creating a stable material source for processing.
D.D.Co’s main markets are Central Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Czech, etc. In 2010, D.D.Co. will associate with Nam Bo JSC to boost exports to European market.
