Cuulong Seapro was initially Cuu Long Seafood Company, which had a seafood processing plant with the capital of 1,500 MT per year.
In 2000, the company built and carried out the processing plant II (EU code DL31), bringing its total capacity to 4,000 MT of products each year.
In the second quarter of 2011, Cuulong Seaproducts Company (Cuulong Seapro) reached VND201.88 billion of net turnover, up 8.2 percent; VND5.97 billion of post tax profit, up 65.83 percent from the same quarter of 2010.
In the first half of 2011, Cuulong Seapro reached cumulative turnover of VND300.66 billion and VND11.77 billion of net profit. Earning per share was set at VND1,471.
In July 2011, Cuulong Seapro traded 755 MT of frozen shrimp, bringing US$7.7 million of export value. Up to the end of July 2011, the company shipped abroad 2,300 MT of frozen shrimp, gaining US$22 million, up 14 percent in volume and 15 percent in value against the same period last year.
