(seafood.vasep.com.vn) At the Annual shareholders meeting of 2021, CL-FISH CORP said, the company had planned to reach net revenue of 1,400 billion VND and profit before tax of 80 billion VND. However, it only achieved 86.6% and 59.7% respectively of the target. The company had also set a target of exporting 17,000 tons of finished pangasius with a total value of 40 million USD, but the actual result in 2021 only achieved 61% and 62.5% of the plan.
According to CL-Fish Corp, the company's production and export targets not being achieved is a common situation of many Vietnam’s pangasius exporters in the past year, due to the negative impact of Covid-19 on fish processing factories in the Mekong Delta.
In 2022, CL-Fish Corp (Stock Code: ACL) sets a target of net revenue from sales and service provision of 1,450 billion VND; a pre-tax profit of 200 billion VND. The company also believes in this year's plan and notices new opportunities for CL-Fish Corp in many export markets.
This year, the company continues to focus on raising high-quality pangasius with an area of over 100 hectares with an expected harvest of 35,000 tons of raw fish. At the same time, CL-Fish Corp also invests in aquatic feed processing, both for business and being proactive in providing high-quality feed at good prices. Currently, the company owns an aquatic feed processing plant with a total capacity of 100,000 tons of feed/year. This plant is one of the very few ones that achieved HALAL JAKIM certification. This is an advantage for CL-Fish to develop a closed process and increase the revenue of exported pangasius feed to markets, including products exported to Muslim countries.
CL-Fish Corp is exporting pangasius to more than 70 different markets around the world, including South America, the Middle East, and Asia.
In the first 3 months of 2022, CL-Fish Corp’s total export value of pangasius reached about 8.6 million USD and was in the top 20 largest pangasius exporters of Vietnam.
