Cadovimex II: Pangasius exports up 15% in 2014
(vasep.com.vn) The company earned US$ 52 million from pangasius exports in 2014, up 15% year on year in both export value and volume. The company mainly exported pangasius to North America and South America.
According to the company, 2015 would be tougher than last year 2014. Early in the year, US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its final decision on period of administrative review from 1st August 2012 to 31st July 2013 (POR10). This decision included the anti-dumping duty levied on frozen pangasius fillets from Vietnam. DOC imposed the antidumping duty of US$0.97 per kilogram to mandatory and separate respondents. Vietnam-wide rate is US$2.39 per kilogram. In addition to this, the variation in ruble created uncertainty while prices remained flat in European market.
