Cadovimex II: Downed pangasius exports to China
(pangasius-vietnam.com) Cadovimex II Seafood Import-Export and Processing Joint Stock Company (Cadovimex II) has remained its pangasius exports to China in the first four months of 2014. This period, the company sent there 4 containers of products for total of US$200 thousand.
However, shipments to this destination are slowing down after China's placement of an oil rig in Vietnamese special economic zone in East Sea.
In the coming time, Vietnamese companies will ask Chinese partners to make immediate payment of their orders in a fear of raising tensions. This requirement may drive Chinese imports from Vietnam slow down.
