In May 2009, Bianfishco shipped 2,019MT of frozen Pangasius, valued at US$5.3 million. Spain was its largest market, consuming 525,000MT, worth US$1.4 million, followed by Netherlands US$814,000, France US$433,000, and Germany US$402,000.
In the first five months of 2009, the company exported 7,808MT of finished products, worth US$20.1 million to 30 markets worldwide and became one of four largest exporters of Pangasius in Viet Nam. In June, frozen Pangasius exports increased to 2,590MT, for a value of US$6.78 million. Bianfishco’s contracts with it’s the U.S. customers will be realized from July this year. It is scheduled to export more than 50 containers of frozen Pangasius to the U.S. in August.
