Mr.Vo Thanh Khon, Development and Planning Manager of Bianfishco said the company signed 20 export contracts, totaling approximately one million USD with foreign customers, mainly European companies in VietFish 2008. The average price Bianfishco received for each kilogram of pangasius is 3 USD FOB. Mr Khon said Vietfish 2008 marked a great success for his company when many local large pangasius providers could not ink any contracts to export their products.
He also revealed that the project of Bianfishco’s pangasius research institute, the first private aquaculture research institute in the country, will be started by October.
