Bianfishco: Focus on the U.S. market

According to Mr. Vi Tran Tan Nang, Bianfishco’s Chief of Business Department, Bianfishco wishes to conquer the U.S. market and build customers’ confidence with the best quality Pangasius products. Therefore, the company has made greater efforts to ensure quality in every stage, from selecting raw fish to processing and exporting.

As a result, more than 70 containers of Pangasius are likely to be exported to the U.S. in August, 30 containers less compared to its plan.

The company’s data show that in July 2009 Bianfishco shipped 163MT of Pangasius to the U.S., for a value of US$593,000, making it the second largest market of Bianfishco, just behind Spain.

In the first seven months this year, Bianfishco exported 10,649MT of Pangasius valued at over US$27.7 million to 30 markets. Among them, Spain remained on the top, consuming more than 2,000MT, worth US$5.74 million, followed by Netherlands US$3.29 million, Italy US$3 million, and Germany US$2.25 million.

In July alone, Bianfishco exported 1,468MT of Pangasius, worth US$3.91 million to worldwide markets.
