Mr. Tran Van Dung – Chairman and General Director of Baseafood said, in November alone, the company exported 550 MT of seafood, worth US$1.6 million. By the end of November, Baseafood has exported 8.000 MT of finished products, valued at US$15.5 million.
Up to now, Japan remains the largest importer of Baseafood, accounting for 40% of total import volume, followed by South Korea and Russia.
Since May 2010, dried seafood export of Baseafood to Russia has “resumed”. However, its export situation in the last 6 months has not been very “busy”. Small consumption demand in Russia and slow payment method of clients made exporters not interested in this market.
