Accordingly, the company gained VND178.3 billion of revenue, up 38 percent from the same quarter last year. Input cost was up 47 percent, leading to a gross profit of VND41.2 billion. However, Aquatex Bentre lost more than VND4 billion due to financial investments. Sale expenses and general administration expenses were VND8 billion and VND3 billion, respectively. Post-tax profit reached VND24.3 billion, down 41 percent over the same period last year because the company got financial investment losses and injected VND4 billion on reserved financial fund.
Aquatex Bentre said the company could ensure stable trading operation because it has reduced cost of raw material by farming pangasius by itself.
In the first half of 2011, Aquatex Bentre totaled VND330.9 billion of accumulative turnover, up slightly from the same period last year. Gross profit jumped 42 percent to VND90.5 billion.
