In Q.III/2011, the company recorded a slight rise in all financial indicators compared to the same quarter last year. Aquatex Ben Tre’s net revenue was up 22 percent to VND211.7 billion. Aquatex Ben Tre has their own pangasius farms that helped the company reduce the cost for raw materials, increasing gross profit by over 60 percent to VND46.18 billion.
However, Aquatex Ben Tre failed to keep strong growth due to drop in revenue from financial activities. Its gross profit from trading operation rose 11.76 percent to VND18.73 billion because of high financial charges. The company gained VND19.87 billion of before tax profit and VND18.9 billion of post-tax profit, up more than 10 percent from a year ago.
In first nine months of 2011, Aquatex Ben Tre totaled VND542.6 billion of cumulative revenue, up 13 percent from the same period of 2010. In contrast, its post-tax profit in the period was down 5 percent at VND75 billion because Aquatex Ben Tre had to pay 6 and a half time higher financial charges.
