Anmyfishco to consolidate its position in the market
(vasep.com.vn) So far this year, An My Fish Joint Stock Company (Anmyfishco) still keeps its business operation in the tough economic time. As prediction of new challenges in 2012, the company invested in developing farming areas and focused on export to its main markets since early of the year.
Currently, lack of capital and bank’s limited line of credits push some pangasius companies to offer fish products at lower prices to attract and keep contracts.
According to Tran Thi Thuy, General Director of Anmyfishco, financial troubles will soon push companies with ineffective business out of the market. This is an opportunity for healthy seafood companies to consolidate position in the market.
In this situation, pangasius exporter community needs to reach an agreement on export prices which must reflect real value of pangasius in purpose to keep the fish’s prestige in the global market.
