Accordingly, in 2010, aquaculture area of the province was estimated at 2,380 ha, down 126 ha compared to 2009; aquaculture production reached over 280,000 MT (down nearly 8,000 MT). In particular, the area of pangasius farming was over 1,000 ha, down 50 ha over 2009; its production of the year only reached 234,000 MT, down 7,000 MT (2.5 percent).
