An Giang: Pangasius output hit 70,548 MT in Jan-Apr 2014
(vasep.com.vn) Through April 2014, fish farming area in An Giang province reached 946.51 hectares, down 3.3 percent year on year in which area for pangasius farming hit 529.58 hectares, down 1.32 percent.
Local aquaculture output obtained 93,534 MT, down 5 percent year on year. Pangasius production was 70,548 MT, down 6.06 percent.
During the period, the province exported 53 thousand MT of frozen fish, worth by US$125.8 million; reporting a year-on-year increase of 1.04 percent in volume and 0.9 percent in value.
